CASUALTIES XND ARRESTS. (Received 1.5 a.m.) Sun. LONDON. Oct. 14. Two thousand idle miners came into conflict with the police at Pemberton, Lancashire, where 400 men had resumed work on Monday. Tho strikers refused to disperse and the police charged them, using their batons. Several of the demonstrators were injured. Many arrests were made.
