VICTORIAN LOCAL BODIES. " RESULTS OF ELECTIONS, A and N.Z. MELBOURNE, Aug. 28. The annual elections for all the metropolitan and country municipalities but Melbourne and Geelong resulted in the defeat of the Labour candidates except at Footscra>< There Labour gained two seats. The -prbposal to amalgamate Fitzroy with the tity- wat carried by a small .majority.
