. i ASSOCIATION'S MEETING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MATAMATA, Tuesday. The balance-sheet of the Matamata A. and P. Association shows a creditof £l4 12s Id, but an unsatisfactory-feature is that £IOO is owing in subscriptions. At the annual meeting, a committee.was appointed to go into the matter. < • The election of officers resulted:— Patrons, Messrs. C. E. Macmillan and F. F. Hockly, M.P.'s; president, Mr. J. E. West; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. D. Rollett and T. H. Prowse; committee, Messrs. W. Ruthe, N. Blackburn, F. Hitchcock, C. G. Payze, T. R. Harding, A. S. Thirlwall, S. Gunn, -L. L. Cooke, F. Richmond, R. McCabe, H. Rollett, A. A. Bowler, W. M. Crabb, Geo. Johnston, H. Blythe; auditor, Mr. G." G. Bell. Trophies -were presented for last; season. Mr. A. Thirlwall- received the association's cup for the best pedigree dairy cow on the ground, the award being won by MarloW's Belgian Lassie. Mr. Thirlwall also secured the" Friesian Society's medal for the most points in Friesian classes. Mr. C. Vosper's cow won the J. G. Duxfield Cup for the best dairy cow on the ground.
