AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE* THE WEEK'S TRANSACTIONS. The Auckland sharemarket continued active yesterday, the mining section re* ceiving most attention. In Government securities inquiry was a little lighter than it has been during the past few days. Sale was made of Soldiers' Inscribed at £99 15s. In banks Nationals of New Zealand sold at £6 16s, New Zealands at 61s 6d and Unions of Australia at £ls Is. In coal Taupiris changed hands at 21s 7d. In gas there was firm demand for Aucklands, ordinary, at 235, sellers 23s 3d. Quotations for the contributing issue also showed a slight advance to 12s 3d, buyers being unchanged at lis lOd. In timber Bartholomews had sale at 23s 3d. In mining Alburnias were done at 4s 3d, 4s 4d and 4s 3d. Golden Age, paid, /changed hands at 7d and 7|d. Kawaraus were done at 6s 2d at mid-day, but there was a decline in prices at the third call, when sale was made at 5s Btl and 5s 7d. Lucky Shot, contributing, sold at Is 3d and New Waiotahi, contributing, at Is sd. Ohinemuris had sale at 7s 7d, Waihis at 20s and 20s 3d and Grand Junctions at 3s 7d. 3s 9d and 3s lOd.
