Heather, Rob'erton, Ltd., are the local agents. H.M.S. DIOMEDE IN PORT, i L. H.M.S. Diomede returned io port yesterday morning. after her tour among the Pacific Islands. She was absent for. three- - and-a-haif months. The weather was fine for most of the trip. While at Suva in June there, was an outbreak of influenza - among the men, about half of whom were ill. but there were no serious results. On - arrival yesterday the warship was docked for cleaning and painting. The Diomede will accompany H.M.S. Dunedin to the Hauraki Gulf for gunnery practice, after .the arrival of the Dunedin from Wellington '|7. on September 3. : CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA. The Kaitangata is due at six o'clock this morning from Melbourne, via New Plymouth. She will berth at Central Wharf. ;. From Auckland she proceeds to Wellington and Castlecliff to complete discharge. After unloading a quantity of bulk and case oil at Western Wharf the British Imperial Oil Company's coastal steamer Anamba is to sail at 11 o'clock this morning for New Plymouth and Wellington. ' HINEMOA SAILS TO-DAY. Having completed her overhaul the Government steamer Hinemoa was removed yesterday afternoon from King's to Prince's Wharf to load. With passengers and mail she is to sail- at five o'clock this evening for Norfolk Island. THE WAINUI. The Wainui is due to-morrow afternoon from East Coast ports. She will Berth at 'Queen's Wharf. The Union Company advises that she will probably withdraw at Auckland for overhaul about September 26. While she iB out of commission there willnot be a steamer in the service. THE ROTORUA. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rotorua is to sail at five o'clock this evening for Napier, Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading for England. She is scheduled to sail from Wellington on September 11 for Southampton and London, via Panama. THE MAHENO. The Union Company's inter-colonial steamer Maheno sailed at mid-day yesterday with 12? passengers, as well as mail and cargo, for Sydney. The Huddart Parker steamer Ulimaroa left Sydney at one o'clock yesterday afternoon with passengers, mail and cargo for Wellington,- and is due next Tuesday. She is scheduled to leave Wellington for Sydney next Friday, and will be the only Sydney passenger steamer arriving at or leaving New Zealand next week.
