WEEK-END WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weafher forecast for 48 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:—The weather during the week-end will be mainly fine in most places, although still unsettled at times, with further, showers and cloudiness increasing again for a new disturbance expected at the beginning of the week. Winds variable, westerlies prevailing, moderate to strong and veering by north to east, then freshening. Seas increasing on East Coast shortly. A tropical storm system is . located north-westwafd of the Dominion. Barometer, midnight, 30.30 in.; steady. GOVERNMENT REPORT; The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows:—Present indications are for north-westerly to south-west-erly winds increasing strong to gale southwards of New Plymouth and Castlepointy weather fair to cloudy in the northern and east coast districts, but unsettled with scattered rainfall in western and southern parts.
