MOTORING ACCIDENT, SERIOUS INJURY SUSTAINED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.5 p.m.) BERLIN, July 25. The Duke of Abruzzi has been very seriously injured. His motor-car overturned near Innsbruck.

The Duke of Abruzzi is first cousin of the King of Italy. He is 53 years old. From 1915-17 he "was Commander-in-Chief of the Italian Navy. Born in Madrid, he is the third son of the Duke of Aosta. The duke ascended Mount St. Elias, Alaska, in 1896, and four years later he led a party into the Arctic and penetrated nearer to th,o North Pole than any explorer had done at that time. He also conducted other expeditions. !
