LUDENDORFF'S TAXES.
PLAN TO EVADE PAYING. GERMAN PAPER'S REVELATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.5 p.m.)' BERLIN. July 25. A sensation has been created throughout Germany by the publication of documents in the Tageblatt showing that General Ludendorff in the inflation period of 1922 tried to transfer his large personal fortune abroad. His object was to avoid paying taxes. The authorities discovered his plans and issued a summons. They abandoned the proceedings after having obtained a document from Ludendorff in which he admitted his guilt.
