PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
EDENDALE. At the annual meeting of the Edendale Presbyterian Church, held last week, the Rev. L. "H. Hunt, of Mount Eden, presided in the absence of the pastor, the Rev. J, D. IMcKenzie, who is at presen| in the New Hebrides on furlough. There was a large attendance of the church members. The board of managers* report showed the financial position of the charch to bo fairly buoyant. The receipts from all sources totalled £584. During Mr. McKenzie's absence the charge is under the ministry of the Rev. JB. Hutson, of Northern Wairoa, Tho ceremony of the consecration of the colours of the Edendale Troop»of Boy Scouts was conducted yesterday morning at the church, when a parade of the troop was held under Scoutmaster A. Porter. Mr. Hutson officiated.
PAPATOF/fOE. The annual 'meeting of St. John's Presbyterian Church, Papatoetoe, waa held on Friday when the Rev. John Kilpatrick, moderator of the General Assemhlv, was present. . * : The* reports, which were adopted, stated ' the number on the communion roll waa 363, an increase of 21. There were four Bible classes with a membership of 63 ... and two Sunday Schools with 135 names . on the roll The financial year closed with a small credit balance. The vacancies on the Board of Manage- t - merit were filled by the election of Messrs. Suttie, Eccles, SwafP.eld and Meikle.
