THE LAMBING SEASON.

GOOD START AT CAMBRIDGE. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] CAMBRIDGE. Saturday. Lambing is well under way among the few flocks of sheep in the Cambridge - district and prospects are good as the weather last month was favourable. Mi'. W, "Vosper, of "I>ingley Dell," who is always to the fore with early lambs, has a good lot o£ particularly healthy lambs. Mr. "Vospor. states that the first lambs made their appearance about June 20. The percentage over promises to be even better than last year and at present tlie rate for his flocks is about 114 per cent. Itis "also satisfactory that the mortality is as low as 1 per cent. " Bardowie " flocks, owned by Mr. Taylor, commenced lambing about four weeks ago .and the results are equally as good as those of Mr. Vesper's flocks.
