The output of cheese for the Bruntwood Co-operative Dairy Company,- Ltd., Cambridge, for the last season totalled 573 tons 7cwt.. while advances' totalled Is 7.19 d per lb. butter-fat. During the year 12,561,5171b. of milk was received, and 496,5091b. of butter-fat, was obtained. It took 9.781b. of milk to make lib. of cheese, and lib. of butter-fat made 2.73051b. of cheese. The average test for the season was 3.95 per cent., -while the average grading was 92.19-per cent. Manufacturing, distributing and overhead charges cost 1.34 d per lb.

OPERATIONS AT MORRINSVILLE. BUTTER AND CHEESE PAYMENTS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Saturday. During the season just ended the Morrinsville Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., manufactured 545 tons'of butter, an increase of 14 tons with the previous season. In view of the weather conditions experienced last season, the output was regarded as very satisfactory. Advances totalled Is 4.116 d per lb butterfat, including .535 d per lb. deducted for the payment of cartage. On July 7 a further payment of Id per lb.' butter-fat over the season was paid, and in the surplus account there was left a further 1.023 d per lb. The season's pay-out therefore totalled Is 6.139 d.

t The directors have recommended the payment of a dividend of .54 per cent, upon the amounts paid up on shares. Owing to the unique financial position of the company the directors state that the prospects are exceedingly bright. The annual summary'.shows that since the company commenced operations in 1923 the number of suppliers has increased from 90 to 170. The suppliers to the two cheese factories operating in the Morrinsville district are receiving fairly substantial payments for the past season. The Tatua Co-operative Company this week ' paid a £d bonus over the whole season, bringing the payments to date up to Is 6£d per lb. With'a id bonus for August and 2d for September, October, November ..and December supplies the Norfolk Company's (Motumaoho) payment up to the end of December has been brought up to Is 7d per'lb? butter-fat.
