PRESENTATIONS.

Residents of Warkworth gave a farewell social this week to Mr. J. G. Mulholland, who has been postmaster at Warkworth for three years, and has been promoted to Inglevvood, Taranaki. Presentations of a silver-mounted oak tray from the general public and a smoker's companion from the Bowling Club were made to Mr. Mulholland. A gift of Doulton ware was made by the Croquet Club to Mrs. Mulholland. " Mr. A. Warin, chairman of the Town Board, spoke of the uniform courtesy of the postmaster and eulogised the keen interest he had taken in all local affairs. Mr. Mulholland was a keen bowler and was responsible for the formation of the club, of which he had been secretary since its foundation.
