Mr. L. D. Hall, of Wellington, is a t the Central Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. H. Brown, of Tauranga, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. F. Jones, of Christchurch, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Rislev, of San j! rancisco, are at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. W. J. Wilson, of Wellington, and Mr. A. Atkinson, of Whangarei, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. A. Coverdale, of Napier, Mr. T. Bassett, of Kaikohe. and Messrs. E. G. Waterson and C. Elders, of Wellington" are at the Star Hotel. Mr. R. J. Bell, of Hastings, Mr. D. K. Guy, of Palmerston North, and Mr. C* W. Salmon and Mr. F. O'Sullivan, of Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Frank Milner, rector of Waitaki Boys' High School, will visit Auckland on August 28 at the invitation of the local branch of the Waitaki Old Boys' Association, to be entertained at a "reunion dinner. Mr. Milner will also address the Auckland Rotary Club. Canon Wollstein, the vicar of Spring Creek, Marlborough, celebrated his 80th birthday last week, and was given a pleasant party in honour of the occasion. There was a large birthday cake, cut by the Canon himself. Archdeacon York read an address on behalf of his clergy, offering felicitations to their brother cleric, and presented Canon Wollstein with a set of brushes. In responding, Canon Wollstein said that although he contemplated retiring from the strenuous work of a parish, where the -responsibility was so great, he looked forward to action as locum tenens in the time to come.
