VICTOKIAN BOWLERS. MATCHES IN AUCKLAND. TOUR OF NORTH ISLAND. A party of eight bowlers from Victoria, Australia, who arrived on Sunday by the Aorangi from Suva, where they competed in the Fijian bowling tournament, were the guests of members of the executive of the Auckland Bowling Centre yesterday afternoon. Two games were played on the Devonport green, and although the executive teams won both, the visitors thoroughly enjoyed the outing. Another match has been arranged to take placo at the Carlton green this afternoon, when the visitors will probably be opposed by combined teams of Carlton and executive members. The party will leave for Rotorua tomorrow morning on a visit to the scenic resorts of the North Island, and will sail for home from Wellington in about ten days' time. The games played yesterday resulted as follows, Victorian players being mentioned first.—Fielding, Pleasant, F. Dunham, H. Griffiths, 22, v. Hardley, Barter, Pascoe. Parsons, 32; English, Hall, J. Dunham. J. Griffiths, 20, v. Coldicutt, Tonkin, Thomson, Wright, 24. THE FIJI TOURNAMENT. NEW ZEALANDERS COMPETE. [from our own correspondent.] SUVA. July 15. Visiting competitors in the second annual bowling carnival who are representative of Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and New Zealand have been entertained royally by the local bowlers. On Monday they were taken to the famous island of Benga where the mystic fire-walkers practice their weird game of walking over white hot stones with absolute unconcern. The trip is one of 24 miles by sea and the Government yacht Pioneer and the steamer Adi Keva carried 160 passengers, mostly visitors, to Beqa. All were greatiy fascinated by the native dancing with spears and then with clubs. They had to be carried on board the boats by sturdy Fijian natives. Then there was a fancy dress masque ball, and to-night a dinner at the Grand Pacific Hotel. Owing to rain on Saturday play dould not be started after His Excellency the Governor had opened the tournament. A start was made on Tuesday in ideal weather. All were delighted with the conditions. The final points for the South Seas pennant competition were:—New South Wales and South Australia, 6 each; Victoria, 4; New Zealand and Fiji, 1 point each. Instead of giving the prize to the team with the greatest aggregate the committee ruled a play-off. This was won by South Australia by 31 points to 29.

Results of games in which New Zealand rinks took part are:— New South Wales (Zichlke, Mackio, Smith, J. Henley), 20, v. New Zealand (Clarke, Costello, Gardiner, Hamell), 18; Victoria (Johnston, Dunham, Boyle, J. Griffith), 8, v. New Zealand (W. Spence, W. Elliott, J. Hutchison, D.
