AUCKLAND POULTRY-KEEPERS

ACTIVITIES OF PAST YEAR.

The annual meeting of tlie Auckland Poultrykeeper's Association was held last evening, the president, Mr. E. J. Roberts, presiding. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. * The past year's operations, according to the annual report, had proved the most satisfactory since the foundation of the society. Several fine records had b«en established by the birds tested, and the average production was equal to 219 eggs per bird for all those competing. The high average price received for eggs during the year had enabled the association to make a net profit-of about £217. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mrs. J. A. B. Hellaby; vice-patrons, Mrs. P. E. Dimont, Messrs. A. Harris, W. J. Jordan, and H. G. R. Mason; president, Mr. R. J. Roberts; vice-presidents, Mr. A. Stewart (town), Messrs. J. N. McLean, G. H. Shaw, W. U. Time well, S Johnson, H Leger and Scott (country); executive, Messrs. Bayliss, Cruickshank, Harvev-Marshall. Mailer, Tapp and Wood; treasurer, Mr. R. G. Hunt; auditor, Mr. L. G. Bedford.
