MISHAP TO ROYAL CAR.

.<»> ■ COLLISION WITH CYCLIST.

VICTIM RAPIDLY RECOVERING.

LONDON. Juno 7

King George and Queen Mary, accompanied by Prince Henry, were motoring on a visit to Princess Victoria, near Cowley, Middlesex, when their car swerved in an endeavour to avoid a woman cyclist. The mudguard of the Royal car struck the cyclist. When it swerved the car narrowly missed two pedestrians.

The Royal passengers alighted, the Queen being visibly pale. The King was greatly concerned. Re accepted the offer of a passing motorist to drive the cyclist home. Later His Majesty sent a messenger to inquire regarding the cyclist's condition, and was informed that she was rapidly recovering.
