STRUCK BY MOTOR-LORRY.

AGED WOMAN INJURED. ACCIDENT AT INTERSECTION. A fractured leg and severe injuries to the head were sustained by Mrs. Wright Hartley, aged 73, of 11, James Street, Grey Lynn, who was knocked down by a motor-lorry driven by Mr. H. Walker, at the intersection of Great North Road and Burns Street, shortly before eight o'clock last evening. Mrs. Hartley was crossing the road to board a city-bound tramcar when she was struck by the lorry. The hospital authorities reported at an early hour this morning that the patient had shown little improvement.
