HIGHLANDERS' BAND.

THE AUCKLAND VISIT. It is now definitely known that the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders' Band is coming to Auckland. With tho closing nf tho Dnnedin Exhibition the band is setting out on a tour of Now Zealand and it is proposed to give threo concerts at Ca-rlaw Park in the first' week of June. The idea of making tho tour was suggested some months ago, but as tho band is a military organisation tho consent of the War Office to extension of leave was Necessary. Delay in receiving permission prevented tho band from securing the Auckland Town Flail for tho concerts, the hall having already been booked up. Provided tho weather is suitablo the band should be heard to tho best advantage in the open air, most of the concerts given at tho exhibition having been of this nature.
