BOISTEROUS WEATHER.

CONDITIONS IN THE CITY, HEAVY SEA ON WEST COAST. MANUKAU BAR UNWORKABLE. There was a continuation of boisterous weather at Auckland yesterday. The wind was from the south-west and blew in sqnalls accompanied at times by sharp showers. The conditions on the west coast showed very little improvement. The frequent rain squalls blew with gale force accompanied by heavy haiL The Manukan bar was again unworkable and there was no indication of the sea moderating last night. The Rarawa's departure for New Plymouth has been further postponed until two o'clock thte afternoon and the Rimu's sailing for Hokianga until one o'clock. The Ngatiawa and Arapawa left Onehunga yesterday morning. They anchored at the heads to await an oportunity to proceed to Waikato Heads and Wanganui respectively. The storm at sea is delaying the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner lonic. She was dee at Wellington this morning with over 500 passengers from England. According to her wireless advice the gale will delay her arrival until late this evening. The Auckland passengers are now expected to reach the city on Saturday morning. REPORTS FROM COTJNTRY. Heavy rain has been experienced during the last four days and 1.87 in. has fallen since Saturday. The Waikato River is swollen considerably, and is oft. above normal at Hamilton and Ift. from the level of the road at Rangiriri. OTOROHANGA, Wednesday. Stormy and tempestuous weather has been experienced since Sunday, the daily rainfall being 1.17 in., Lo2in. and ,52in. up to Wednesday morning. The weather has now somewhat cleared and gives promise of clearer skies and warmer days.TAUKANGA, Wednesday. Rain fell last night and there were more heavy showers to-day. Strong westerly winds have been blowing. Mr. C. J. official observer, reports that the rainfall at Tanranga daring April totalled 1.39 in. NGABUAWAHIA, Wednesday. | The weather is very stormy.
