BRITAIN AND FRANCE.
DEBT SOLIDARITY BROKEN. " REGRETTABLE SETTLEMENT." PARIS. April 23. The French Premier, M. Briand, interrogated by the Finance Commission, admitted that France, by sending the Parmentier mission to America without informing Britain, caused the solidarity between Britain and France on the debt question to break up. Tho result was that the Prime Minister, Mr. Baldwin, negotiated tho regrettable settlement of the debt due by Britain to America.
