MR. ZANE GREY AT TAUPO.
CAMP MOVED TO NEW SITE
VISIT NEARING AN END.

Mr. Zano Grey's party broke camp at Waihora Bay yesterday and moved by launch to Tokaanu, where they are camping six miles up the Tongariro River. The party caught 70 rainbow trout at Waihora, averaging just over 651b. This represents the average weight of the fish this season.
Mr. Grey lias been much impressed with the scenic beauty of the lake and compares the climate with that of Arizona in its bracing qualities. Tho camp at Wai hora, pitched at the valley mouth, with towering cliffs on both sides, was in one of tho most picturesque and isolated spots op the hike. The largo jiumbers of tuis and bellbirds there were a source of delight to the party, Mr. Grey calling the camp the Valley of the Tuis. After six days at Tongariro Sir. Grey leaves for Wellington. He has gathered considerable material for his book dealing with the fishing at tho Bay of Islands and at Taupo.
