Judge: Mr. George Hunter, Galashiels, Scotland. — Ross and Glendining, Ltd., four first orders of merit, four seconds; Bruce Woollen Manufacturing Company, Ltd., one second; Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Company, three firsts, one second; Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company, Ltd., two -seconds; Onehunga Woollen Mills, one first, one second; Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company, one first. „

Household Furniture. Judges: Messrs. Frank Campbell, Wellington, W. T. Smith, Auckland, and R. A. Beveridgc, Christchurch. —Scoullar and Chisholm, Ltd., first order of merit; C. and W. Hayward, Ltd., second order of merit: William Nees and Sons, Ltd., highly commended; N. S. Benfell, Auckland, first order of merit.

Ladies' Ready-made Clothing. Judge: Miss B. J. Sproston.—Ross and Glendining, Ltd., one first, one second. Men> Ready-made Clothing. Judges: Messrs. James Murphy, Christchurch, and W. P. Seelye.—Ross and Glendining, Ltd., first order of merit; Wellington Woollen Manufacturing Company, second; Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company, first.

Corsets. Judge: Miss D. Bunbury.— Berlm Corset Company, first order of merit.

The secretary of the Returned Soldiers' Association has been advised that the exhibit of ladies' handbags entered for tho exhibition competition on behalf of the returned soldiers resulted in Montecillo Home and Wellington Red Cross Homo both getting first awards, being of equal merit.

After having'successfully billeted over 0000 school children from all parts of tho Dominion, tho committee in chargo of these children's visits to tho exhibition reluctantly intimate to-day that no further applications can be entertained in tho time remaining, and those children who are visiting the exhibition during the last v/eek cannot- stay over the week-end. The final fireworks display at the exhibition attracted a huge crowd to the sports ground last night. Tho weather was fine and mild, and a magnificent programme of gorgeous pyrotechnic novelties was got off without a hitch. The attendance for the dav amounted to 27,417, bringing tliw grand total up to" 2,685,332. The 'Prime Minister will perform the closing ceremony on Saturday, May 1.
