Thirty Civic Guards are digging in tho grounds of Lamnncha, the mansion near Dublin which was recently destroyed by fire. The object is to find a box supposed to contain £IOOO in gold, which was missing from the house.

It is believed an employee of the late owners was instructed to bury tho box under a tree in the period of unrest in Ireland in 1921 and 1922.
