TAUMARUNUI, Thursday,
The death is announced of the Maori chief Ngatai Tomamaku, aged 50. lie was a grandson of Tapino Tomamaku, who, at ono time was paramount chief of the Upper Wanganui tribes.'Deceased belonged to tho Ngatihauaroa tribe.
