CHAOS IN CHINA.
PRESIDENT A REFUGEE. CHANG FIGHTS BOLSHEVISM. Renter PEKING, April 13. It has definitely been established that Tuan Ghi-jui, who was recently reported (o have resigned tho Presidency of China, has taken refugo in business premises in tho Legation quarter. Tuan took with him the seal of office and sent out a warning to the effect that he would not be responsible for any mandates issued during his absence. The Manchurian leader, Chang Tso-lin, in an interview, stated: "My sole object in this war is to eradicate bolshevism from China. As soon as that has been accomplished I will withdraw to my own territory north of the Great Wall, and my entire attention after that will bo devoted to the reconstruction and development of Manchuria along the lines of industry and peace." Chang seemed to be embittered against General Feng Yu-hsiang, Premier of the Peking Government. He said he was not interested in the next President of China, although a big man was needed. "I shall keep out of politics in China,"" ho added. " My business will bo entirely with Alanehuria."
