The Daily Express says the extremists in the Federated Seamen's Union who aro opposinp Mr. Waveloelc Wilson s National Union, attempted to prevent 200 seamen from joining the Port Hunter, the Matatura and the Ruapehu. The men were informed that if they signed on they would be required to pay all the amounts overdue to their union. It is alleged that threats were used and that one man was severely maltreated.
