CHINESE GAMING HOUSE.
FINES AT WELLINGTON. [by telegraph.—press association.] WELLINGTON. Friday. A Chinese named Yo Kim, aged 60, was charged to-day with keeping a common gaming house. Counsel declared that ho was only the occupier and that the business was really run by a big ring which did not appear. The magistrate, Mr. Riddell, imposed a fine of £3O, in default six weeks' imprisonment. Frederick Durham was fined £2 for being on Yo Kuri's premises.
