A VALUELESS CHEQUE.
CHARGE OF FORGERY. [TIY TELEGRAPH. —TOESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Friday. Edmund Marriott was charged this morning with the forgery of a cheque at the Motukarara races and was committed for trial. Accused was found guilty of fraud by means of a valueless cheque. Sentence was postponed. In evidence, accused said he was a hairdresser at the Dunedin Exhibition, and had an account with a Dunedin bank.
