BRIGADESMEN ENTERTAINED. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMUTU. Monday. The Parawera Native School children presented the operetta "The Sleeping Beauty" at Kihikihi. The proceeds, over £3O, are for the school ground improvement fund. The visiting fire brigadesmen were entertained on Saturday night at a smoke social and yesterday to a motor trip to Arapuna, Cambridge and Hamilton. At the social on Saturday evening the Mayor presented the Howden Shield to the Te Kuiti team, and trophies to the Te Aroha and Cambridge teams.
