A PLAGUE OF ANTS.

PEST AT GIRLS' SPORTS. A swarm of flying ants caused some annoyance at the annual sports of the Whangarei Girls' High School. There were myriads of the little insects flying about the grounds, and many people were bitten by them. Quite a number of handkerchiefs were to be seen waving tlse pests off. As the afternoon wore on the ants disappeared altogether.
