RIFFS SEEK PEACE.
KRIM'S DRAMATIC APPEAL
DEFENCE OF PEOPLE'S RIGHTS
Times. LONDON, March 17. The leader of the Riffs in Morocco, Abd el Krim, has written to the Tangier correspondent of the Times. In his letter he says:
"When we are in a dilemma and uncertain where to go we turn to and carry out 'the Arab saying that the sword is more truthful than is writing." Krim reiterates his assertion that the French and Spanish Governments have consistently ignored his peace offers, which be says were, sincerely and honestly made.
The Riff leader adds: "We trust you will tell the world that we demand nothing but our rights. These we are prepared to defend to the last mountaimtop. The whole purpose of our action is to arrive at peace. We only seek justice."
