PORT ALBERT SCHOOL.

MOVED AND MODERNISED. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] PORT ALBERT, Friday. After a good deal of agitation by the parents concerned, the school at Port Albert has been removed to a more central site adjoining the Public Hall, on the main Wellsford to Port Albert Road. Although the school was built about 40 years ago, the timber was in a good state of preservation. Opportunity of the shift was taken to rebuild the school on more modern lines, A large number of extra windows for light and ventilation were put in and the building was divided into two classrooms. The bulk of the work was done during the holidays, and the school is now practically ready for use. In the meantime the classes are being conducted in the Public Hall.
