TAMAHINE'S EXCURSIONS.
QUESTION OF WAGES RAISED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PBESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Thuruday. The Arbitration Court has reserved its decision on the interpretation of the Marine Cooks and Stewards' Award, arising out of the steamer T&mahine's weekend Sounds excursions. The question asked is whether the stewards are entitled to the excursion rate of Is 3d per hour for the whole peripd of the ship's absence from Wellington, or only for the time of the excursion to Queen Charlotte and Pelorus Sounds, because the trips between Wellington and Picton are in the ordinary week-end itinerary of the Tamahine. A second question is whether the carriage of ordinary passengers affected the position.
