AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. MATCH AGAINST TASMANIA. Australian ar.d N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) HOBART, Feb. 28. The members of the Australian eleven who are to tour England assembled in Melbourne on Friday and, after having been entertained at luncheon by the Gov-ernor-General, Lord Stonehaven, they came on to Hobart. They commenced a match against Tasmania at Launceston yesterday
Tasmania batted first and made 104 runs (Davis 37). The Australian team lost three wickets for 187 (Ponsford 62, Macartney 66 not out).
