The members of the Australian eleven who are to tour England assembled in Melbourne on Friday and, after having been entertained at luncheon by the Gov-ernor-General, Lord Stonehaven, they came on to Hobart. They commenced a match against Tasmania at Launceston yesterday

Tasmania batted first and made 104 runs (Davis 37). The Australian team lost three wickets for 187 (Ponsford 62, Macartney 66 not out).
