MISS PAGE WINS 220 YARDS. MISS STOCKLEY PLACED FOURTH By Telegraph—Press Association--Copyright. (Received 7.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Feb. 28. The swimming championships of Australia were continued yesterday. The 220 yds. free-style event for ladies was won by Miss Piri Page, of Auckland, in 2m. 54 4-ss. Miss Clare Cauldwell was second. Miss M. Broughton third and Miss Ena Stockley, of Auckland, fourth. The start was delayed through the New Zealand girls taking the water before the flag fell and they were recalled. Miss Page had the best of the second start, but Miss Stockley put in a fine sprint and quickly took the lead. Miss Cauldwell joined the leader and the pair swam together to half way down the second lap. Then Miss Page came along and again went to the front. Maintaining her lead to the finish Miss Page won easily by syds. Miss Stockley was just beaten for third place. The 120 yds. breast-stroke championship was Avon by E. Robertson. J. Sheridan was second and E. Mealing third. All are New South Wales swimmers. Robertson won by 7yds.
