LABOUR IN AUSTRALIA.
MISSING SUPPORTER.
RETURN FROM A HOLIDAY. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Jan. 25 The Labour member of the Legislative Council whose absence from the Chamber when the second reading debate on the Abolition of the Council Bill was in progress caused the Government so much concern has returned to the city. Ho says he has been spending a quiet holiday at Nowra. When he read in the newspapers that he was being sought by the police he _ immediately communicated with the Commissioner of Police through the local station and informed him that he was in the best of l health. The member protests strongly against having his movements traced by detectives and police.
PARLIAMENT PROROGUED. NEW SOUTH WALES HOUSES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. Jan. 25. The State Parliament has been prorogued until February 9. The Legislative Council Abolition Bill will then be submitted again.
