BOY ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.
PLAYING WITH REVOLVERS. MISHAP NEAR HENDERSON. A boy, William James Webb, 13j years of age, accidentally shot himself at Te Atatu, near Henderson, yesterday morning. The lad, whose parents reside in McLeod's Road, Henderson, was employed by Mr. P. Istich, of Te Atatu. He was left alone during the morning and while playing with two revolvers discharged one of them. The bullet passed through two fingers of his left hand, entered his mouth and lodged in the back of his head. He was found by a neighbour after he had walked some distance He was attended by Dr. Redpath and conveyed to the Auckland Hospital in an ambulance. An operation was performed at the hospital last night. The boy's condition was reported to be serious.
' It is not known where the boy obtained the revolvers, as they arc not the property of his employer. It is surmised that they came from one of the many gumdiggers' whares in the district.
