KILLED BY A TRAIN.
FALL BETWEEN CARRIAGES. MAN LOSES, HIS BALANCE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.} DUNEDIN, Monday. A shocking fatality occurred at the Milton Railway Station this evening when the south-bound express from Dunedin to Invercargill was drawing into the platform. A man, Robert B. Barlow, aged about 22, employed as an enginecleaner at Invercargill, was a passenger by the train. 'He was standing on a carriage platform and was waving to his brother, engine-driver'on a train standing in a siding. Evidently he overoalanced and fell between tho carriages He was killed instantaneously, several carriages passing over his body. An inquest was opened before Mr. H J. Dixon, S.M., and adjourned.
