AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
THE AMERICAN ATHLETES. RECEPTION IN WELLINGTON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Monday. The American athletes, Scholz and Halm, arrived from Auckland to-day, and were officially welcomed by tho New Zealand Council. Both expressed an eagerness for an exchange of ideas regarding points in running, and were also anxious to teach young athletes. They have been favourably impressed with the New Zealand grass tracks. They leave for Gisborno to-morrow.
