ROWING.
HAMILTON REGATTA. PROMISING ENTRIES MADE. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON. Monday. The Hamilton regatta will be held on the Waikato River at Hamilton on January 29. A great deal of interest attaches to the event, particularly in rowing circles. Three of the held in the Auckland Province thin season have not been successful on account of the weather, and orie had to be postponed. The Waikato River at Hamilton is sheltered, and the conditions can be depended upon to be favourable to rowing men. Crews are therefore looking forward to testing their strength at Hamilton. The entries are good, and with three New Zealand champion crews, including the New Zealand champion four that represented New' Zealand at Henley regatta. Melbourne. Australia, and four members of the All Black eight, a great rowing programme is assured. As the motor-cycle races will be held the following day visitors can be assured cf a good week-end at Hamilton. Special train arrangements have been made.
