OBITUARY.
MRS. ALICE McLEAY,
A resident of Auckland for 60 years, Mrs. Alice McLeay, died on Saturday, in her 84th year. She was the widow of Mr. William McLeay, formerly of Ponsonby. Mrs. McLeay, who arrived in New Zealand in 1863, was in Wanganui during hostilities with the Maoris, and cams to Auckland in 1865. Mrs. McLeay, who was of a quiet and retiring disposition, leaves a family of two sons, Messrs. W. and J. G. McLeay, and two daughters, Mrs. J. Mclicati and Miss McLeay. MR. ANDREW J. CUE MY. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] BLENHEIM, Monday. The death occurred this morning, after a long' illness, of Mr. Andrew James Curry, for many years a member of tho Blenheim Borough Council and Licensing Committee, and a keen sportsman. He was one of the oldest members of tho'Riversdale Bowling Club, and was ft member of the Marlborough centre. lie took interest in band music, and was conductor successively of the Blenheim Hibernian Band and the Garrison Band for extended periods. Ho is survived by. a son, Mr. L. A. Carry, and four daughters.
