MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
MR. McLEOD TO GO NORTH
The Hon. A; D. Mcleod, Minister of Lands, will make a tour of the Bay of Islands" district at the beginning of next month with Mr; Allen Bell, M.P; for Bay of Islands, and Mr. W. Jones, M.P. for Marsden. The object of the tour is to investigate the possibility of settlement, of idle lands, swamp drainage and the sapd drift and kauri gum problems. The party -will arrive at Whangarei on Thursday, February 4, and will leave next day for Hikurangl, Hukerenui, Towai, Kawakawa and Ohaeawai. On February 6, Waipapa, Kaeo, Mangonui, and Kaitaia will be visited. On Sunday, February 7, the party will travel to Te Pakl Station, and on Monday will visit Te Ilapua, To. Kao, and Houhora. On Tuesday/ February 9, Waiharara will be visited and the party will return to Ivaitaia. Wednesday will bo occupied with an inspection of the Kaitaia Swamp and the official opening of the dairy factory at Awanui. The following day the party will proceed to Herekino, Broad wood and KOkukoku, and on the' Friday to Rawch'c Taheke and Kaikohe. The party will return to Whangarei on Saturday, Februaiy via Parakao and Mangakaliia,
