WELLINGTON CROWN LANDS
THE JNEW COMMISSIONER.
mr. h. w. Mcintosh appointed
[by telegraph.—own correspondent. ] WELLINGTON, Monday.
The Public Service Commissioner announced to-day the appointments of Mr. H. W. Mcintosh ab Commissioner of Crown Lands at Wellington and of Mr. F. H. Waters as chief surveyor at Wellington.
Mr. Mcintosh is at present chief clerk and receiver of land revenue in the Wellington Lands Office. Ho entered the public service as a cadet 27 years ago, and held various clerical positions in the Lands Department at Auckland, Gisborne and Dunedin, , until in April, 1920, he was appointed accountant in the Auckland Land and Survey Office. He was promoted to chief clerk at Wellington in August, 1923.
Mr. Waters joined the service in November,- 190b, and has held the office of district surveyor in Nelson, Otago and Canterbury. He was appointed chief draughtsman at Wellington in December, 1923.
