CRUISE OF THE RUAMANO.
OTAGO SOUNDS VISITED. THE PARTY ARRIVE AT BLUFF. [EY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] BLUFF, Monday. Mr. A. H. Court's launch Ruarnano, from Auckland, arrived at Bluff on Sunday afternoon from Grey mouth via the Mil ford, Bligh, George, Caswell, Thompson, ■ Breaksoa ami Dusky 'Sounds and Chalky and Preservation Inlets. Hundreds of miles of the different arms and bays and coves were visited. The staff stated ' that the Kuamano was ,tbe first ■launch in four years that had gone into Revolver Bay. The party was surprised to find the French warship Cassiopee sheltering from a cyclone. The Ruamano was invited alongside and saluted the next morning when leaving. The party had two fine days in the Sounds, but otherwise the weather was rainy, but they enjoyed every minute. The scenery, fishing, the cruising and birds are all described as wonderful. On the trip from . Preservation Inlet to Bluff a' heavy wind was experienced. The launch proceeds to Stewart Island, and will return to Bluff.
