PROVISION OF A COACH. JOCKEY CLUB'S DONATION. A donation toward the fund for engaging an English cricket coach for Auckland was made by the Avondale Jockey Club at its meeting on Tuesday evening. It was decided, to make an annual subscription of £25 for the term of three years, during -which the coach is to be engaged. DUNEDIN WANTS A COACH. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN. Wednesday. While in England, Mr. C. W. Battray, a former president of the Otngo Cricket Association. and an ex-captain of Otago, will make inquiries regardinc the engagement of a coach, for the local association.
