WELLINGTON GALLS DESIGNS.
CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday.
After long delay tho War Memorial Committee has advanced to tho stage of calling designs for a non-utilitarian memorial to bo erected outside Parliament Buildings, and in harmony with \ their appearance. The competitors are strictly limited to a sum of £18,500, which allows,for a margin of 10 per cent., and the prizes offered are £250, £l5O and £IOO. No design will be accepted for which a tender cannot be obtained at the prico named.
Mr. J. P. Firth and Mr Fair, SolicitorGeneral, have been appointed assessors, with Mr. W. H. Gummer as professional
adviser.
