OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.

STRONG BLAZE AT DUNEDiN. ' HEAVY LOSS INCURRED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Tuesday. A fire shortly after three this morning swept through a building owned by Messrs. A. and T. Inglis, drapers, King Street, and occupied by Mooney's, Ltd., furriers, and Mr. Munro, tailor. When the brigado arrived the building was a mass of flames. Nothing was saved 011 the top floor, but Mooney's valuable stock of furs was saved, also the machines. The losses arc heavy. Mooney's insurance was £3OOO in the Phoenix Company. Mr. Munro's is unknown. The insurance on the buildings was divided between the Standard and Yorkshire Companies, £SOO each. HOMESTEAD DESTROYED. , OHAUPO ROAD FARMER. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AWAMT7TU. Tuesday. Mr. Eugene McCabo's homestead en the Ohaupo Road was totally destroyed by fire in mid-afternoon during the absence of the family. Some passing motorists assisted to save articles of furniture, but an almost total loss resulted. The origin of the fire is doubtful, but asMrs. McCabe had been baking just after mid-day it is surmised that a spark from the chimney lodged' in the eaves. The house was insured for £4OO and the furnituro for £IOO in the State Office.
