At the conclusion of the third round of the finals of the chess championship congress the position of the players is as followsPurdy 4, Davis 24, Kelling 1, Miller 1, E. E. Hicks Fairburn 0. The last round commences to-morrow morning. The delegates were accorded a civic reception this afternoon.
