AUCKLAND RACES.
FROCKS AT ELLERSLIE. The summer meeting of the Auckland Racing Club closed on Saturday, when there was a large attendance at Ellerslie. The weather was fine though there was a keen wind blowing and early in the afternoon wraps and even furs were donned. Nevertheless light frocks of filmy fabrics were generally worn and the stands and lawns were gay with the bright and pretty colours that were the popular choice of those in attendance. Among those present were: — Lady Mariorie Dalrymple, wearing black and white figured marocain and a black hat; Mrs. Nolan, black georgette frock and black hat; Mrs. Milsom, black armure frock and black hat with gold roses; Mrs. E. Russell, mulberry ensemble suit with embroidered coat trimmed with fur and black hat; Mrs. Savage, black romaine frock and cyclamen shaded crinoline hat; Mrs. Duthie, black frock of satin beaute with black hat finished with velvet bows; Mrs Parkes, delphinium blue frock embroidered in a deoper shade and delphinium blue hat with velvet ribbon bows; Mrs. Kingston, cinnamon brown'frock and hat to match with feather mount; Mrs. Greenwood, black and boigo brocaded marocain and black hat; Mrs. Kane, black marocain and hat with crimson roses; Mrs. Fairelough, black armuro coat with Egyptian embroidery and henna shaded hat; Mrs. Gamble, saxc-blue coat with grey revers and saxo-blue hat; Mrs. Day, beige and black brocaded crepe do chine ana black hat; Mrs. Burns, cinnamon brown crepo do chine and lace frock and cinnamon brown hat; Mrs. Lloyd, mole and navy blue frock and mole shaded hat; Mrs. E. Davis, white repp silk coat and black and white hat; Mrs. Aveling, ficelle tinted laco frock and black hat with brush mount; Mrs. Colter, black marocain frock and black hat with black and purple feathers; Mrs. Dargaville, saxeblue and "white figured crepe do chine frock and saxe-blue hat; Mrs. E-H. Reid, black Ottoman silk coat and black hat with champagne shaded ostrich feather ruffle; Mrs. H. Mowbray, henna shaded jersey frock and small henna, shaded hat. Mrs. D. Cook wore a white and jade preen marocain frock and white hat; Mrs. H. Clark, cyclamen shaded frock and black hat; Mrs. A. Mills, white and blno marocain frock and saxe blue coat and hat; Mrs. Miles, cinnamon brown jersey silk frock and brown hat; Mrs. A. Rhind, nattier blue boucletto frock and henna shaded hat; Mrs. Abbott, cinnamon 'brown frock and cinnamon brown hat; Mrs, H. Hanna, black coat trimmed with leopard skin and black hat with cluster of white flowers; Mrs.. Coverdale, black embroidered marocain frock and black hat; Mrs. Bull, black marocain frock and black hat with bird of paradise plume; Mrs. Alexander, black crepe do chine frock and black hat; Mrs. Sievewright, henna and blue brocaded frock and blue hat; Mrs. Murphy, peach coloured marocain frock with touches of jade green and black hat; Mrs. Carpenter, beigo georgette frock and pink and gold hat ; Mrs. Lawford, beige and navy marocain frock and navy feathered hat; Mr;». Louisson, grey embroidered crepe de chine and grey hat. Miss Nolan wore a jade green marocain frock and jade green hat; Miss Walker, cinnamon brown marocain frock and brown feathered hat; Miss Gillies, black repp silk coat and black hat; Miss Hahn, black Ottoman silk coat with Egyptian embroideries and scarlet hat; Miss Rathbone. amber Eind jade figured ninon. and hat of aml-sr crin with bird of paradise plume; Mis Walker, white marocain frock and rose pmk hat; Miss Lockhart, saxo blue marocain frock and saxo blue hat; Mi';s Burns, whito cloth coat and smsill white hat; Miss A. Burns, white marocain frock and white hat with cyclamen shaded flowers; Miss Stewart, beigo frock piped in scarlet and scarlet hat; Miss Holmes, black marocain frock and black hat; Miss Ferguson, nattier blue figured ninon frock and scarlet hat; Miss Cooper, honey shaded georgette and lace frock and hat to tone; Miss Martin, queen's blue crepe do chine frock and blue hat; Miss Buckland, black marocain frock and hat irimmed with flowers; Miss M. Jackson, geranium georgette and geranium shaded hat; Miss V. Jackson, black satin beauto frock and jnde green hat; Miss Clark, black and white marocain frock and black 'hat; Miss Duthie, rose coloured frock and small rose hat Miss J. Murray, black Ottoman silk "coat and black hat with osprdys; Miss Murphy, amber and white striped silk frock and amber shaded hat; Mhs Rutherford, frock of orchid and cyclamen georgette and crin hat to tone; Miss Yaile, rose patterned ninon frock and pink hat; Miss Upfell. apricot crepe de chine frock and small hat in shades of apricot; Miss Louisson, cream organdi with Valenciennes lace over shell pink georgette, and pink crinoline straw hat.
