TAKAPUNA RACECOURSE.
INSPECTION BY COMMITTEE. SPECIAL MEETING TO BE HELD, In response to a communication from "the New Zealand Racing Conference, an inspection of the Takapuna Racecourse was made last Thursday by the Auckland District Committee, and a letter bearing on the matter was forwarded; to the president of the conference, Sir George Clifford. The tenor of the District Committee's letter has not transpired, but it was stated on Saturday that the matter has been referred bade by the president to the District Committee for further consideration and a special meeting of that body has been convened for tliis afternoon.
